At Andes-Straley Veterinary Hospital, we understand that exotic pet owners want the very best in care for their unique friends whether scaled, feathered, or furry. That’s why we are committed to providing a comprehensive range of services to even the rarest of patients. Dr. Gary Andes is one of the few veterinarians in the Tri-Cities area to offer:

Wellness and Problem-based Appointments
Whether the patient is suffering from an illness or injury or if a general check-up is needed, our fully trained staff will handle each appointment with compassion and diligence.

Digital Radiography
When there’s a concern for the wellness of a pet, waiting for old-fashioned x-rays to develop can be stressful. With our digital technology, x-ray pictures are instantly available for our doctors to review. Owners have answers – and peace of mind – sooner rather than later.

Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery
If an injury or illness should require more intensive care, owners will not need to waste precious time searching for a specialist. We are able to perform all orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures on-site.

Nutrition, Behavioral, and Husbandry Counseling
Raising an exotic pet can be just as challenging as it is rewarding. We partner with owners to provide counseling and information on a wide range of subjects, from general care to special nutritional concerns, behavior and even breeding.

Avian, Small Mammal, Reptile, and Exotic Pet Boarding available
We provide  boarding services  for all types of pets, large and small. Owners can be confident that their exotic pet is getting the best care in our specialty accommodations with individual climate controls. We also offer convenient Sunday pick up hours. Feel free to stop by during normal business hours to tour our facilities.

In-House Laboratory
Many diagnostic tests can be performed in our in-house lab. Results are available sooner and with less room for error than sending samples to an off-site laboratory.

Wing, Beak, and Nail Trims
We strive to address all aspects of wellness for our patients. That’s why we provide wing, beak, and nail trims in a gentle and experienced environment.
