Andes-Straley Veterinary Hospital has proudly served the Kingsport community and surrounding Tri-Cities area for generations. Since opening in 1947, our practice has been built on a simple commitment, providing high quality veterinary care with compassion, integrity, and respect for every pet and family we serve.


Today, we continue that tradition by combining decades of experience with modern veterinary medicine, creating a place where pets receive the care they need and owners feel confident every step of the way.

Our Story

Rooted in Kingsport Since 1947

1947

Founded as Young-Andes Veterinary Hospital by Dr. Tyler Young and Dr. Gerald Andes.

1969

Dr. James Straley joined the practice.

The practice moved to its current location on Memorial Boulevard.

Dr. Gary Andes joined the practice after completing veterinary education and gaining experience in Knoxville.
